is a musical chameleon whose virtuosity allows him to move between styles with ease and panache. John is a founding member of the Desert Rose Band, the Hellecasters, and six-year member of Elton John's band. Artists ranging from Barbra Streisand to Bonnie Raitt to Earl Scruggs have sought out Jorgenson's guitar work. Recently, he was chosen to portray Django Reinhardt in the feature film Head in the Clouds.
Although perhaps better known in the pop, country and rock world, gypsy jazz is the style of music closest to John’s heart. John will be featured on the November 23 and 24, 2007, Thanksgiving Celebration concerts at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, performing Istiqbal Gathering, a work we are recording for the John Jorgenson Uncovered project.

is a powerful musical spirit. As a Grammy-nominated artist, award-winning songwriter, and a first-call session musician, Darrell occupies his own unique half-acre in this city’s crowded musical landscape and stands out as a refreshingly mischievous artist.
For the NCO’s Acoustic Café Series, he is working closely with Music Director Paul Gambill to choose guest artists and help shape the programs. He premiered his new song-cycle, This Begger’s Heart, at the November, 2006, Acoustic Café performance.
